FedEd Academy is an educational company based in Shreveport, LA. It was established based on the principle of advocacy, and its mission is to provide support to Federal Employees as well as educating Financial Advisors concerning the intricacies of assisting this market.

Our FedEd Academy training programs can be conducted virtually or live.  The virtual version is three, 4.5 hours sessions and the live version is two, 8 hour sessions.  The classes can be offered on demand for groups of 3 or more.  We also offer 6-8 live and virtual sessions throughout the year.

Navigating DOGE

The recent creation of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has raised the possibility that 10s of thousands to perhaps 100s of thousands of Federal employees may lose their jobs. If this does occur there will be a tremendous need for financial advisors to be available to assist these displaced Federal employees with making decisions about how to address their futures.

Federal Employee Benefits Advocates (FEBA) can provide financial advisors with the Knowledge, Tools and Support they need to assist the Federal employees with our FedEd Academy program™ .

He began his career with MetLife in Carrollton, Texas, focusing on Federal employees, and has held roles in management, group sales, compliance, and wholesaling. Over the past 15 years, Shawn has educated more than 38,000 Federal employees on retirement, life, health, and other government benefits through nationwide workshops. He also collaborates with financial advisors to enhance their understanding of Federal benefits programs. A former registered representative, Shawn held Series 7, 63, 24, and 65 licenses. He resides in Shreveport, Louisiana.
